Tepache

Tepache is steeped in heritage... literally. This healthy and traditional drink has been made in Mexico for centuries, dating back to the pre-Columbian era. The word Tepache is derived from the Nahuatl word tepiatl, meaning “drink made from corn”

Tepache is made by fermenting pineapple scraps with water, piloncillo sugar, and regional spices. Like kombucha, it is naturally probiotic and does not exceed 1-2% ABV. It’s most often sold streetside in Mexico by vendors who serve up their own unique recipe in plastic cups or baggies.

Inspired by the magic found exploring the vibrant street markets in Mexico, Crooked Owl is the embodiment of our passion for food, culture, and a great time.
